The reward challenge involves standing on two narrow footholds; they must rank their players in order of strength. Reward is a feast from Outback steakhouse. Russell sits out for the Villains.
The Villains play in order: Danielle, Courtney, Parvati, Jerri, Sandra
The Heroes play in order: Candice, Amanda, JT, Colby, Rupert
As they get comfortable in their positions, Probst announces that this is the 100th day that Amanda has played Survivor. Courtney says “Yeah” clapping the wall, and Sandra says “You go girl”.
At 10 minutes, they move down to the smaller foothold. At 20 minutes they move down to the smallest one.
Colby loses to Jerri 0-1.
Rupert loses to Sandra 0-2.
Amanda loses to Courtney 0-3.
The Villains win reward.
JT announces his plan to the tribe of giving Russell the idol to save himself from the women’s alliance. Amanda asks how he will give it to her; JT says he will wrap it in a piece of paper with instructions. JT says that with Parvati gone, they will pick off the girls, and vote off Russell at 6.
In an interview, Amanda says that it’s crazy to give the idol to Russell because he might be in with the girls and they just don’t know.
Amanda asks Candice what she thinks about the idea. Candice says it takes the idol away from him if he just gives it up.
JT writes his letter to Russell back in camp. Rupert says that if it works it will be a great plan.
The immunity challenge involves moving bags of puzzle pieces attached to a winding rope across the water and through a series of obstacles. They must then use the puzzle pieces to build a totem pole. Sandra sits out for the Villains.
Rupert takes on Jerri, building a big advantage. JT gets in the water while Jerri is still struggling. Amanda gets in the water for the Heroes, while Danielle is still struggling. Amanda gains on Danielle. Danielle finally finishes with the second bag and Parvati gets in the water. Amanda moves quickly through the last stage. Candice gets in the water. Parvati finishes with the third bag for the Villains, and Courtney gets in the water. Colby gives instructions to Russell about getting the idol from JT. Candice finishes with the fourth bag. Colby gets back with the fifth bag, Russell next when Courtney finishes, and the Heroes win immunity.
As the tribes hug each other afterwards, JT slips the idol to Russell.
Back in camp, JT says that they’ve made Survivor history. Amanda asks “you think so?” Rupert laughs.
In the Villains’ camp, Courtney pitches to Parvati that Amanda is more likely to go with them after the merge, because she trusts her. Parvati makes a case to keep Courtney, but Russell says that Amanda would be talking to Parvati after the merge. Courtney ends up getting voted out.
